Two Conundrum Press authors will take part in a poetry and fiction reading—“The Waves: A Feminist Retrospective”—presented by Women Write the Rockies today at Wolverine Farm Letterpress and Publick House.
The reading will take place today (Jan. 16) from 7 to 9 p.m., at 316 Willow Street, Fort Collins. Rebecca Snow, author of Glassmusic, and Teow Lim Goh, whose book of poetry Islanders will be released later this year, will both read this weekend.
Earlier in the day, Snow will lead a free fiction writing workshop, “Writing Memorable Women,” from 2 to 4 p.m., also at Wolverine Farm Letterpress and Publick House.
Workshop participants will create female characters and discuss strategies to bring them to life. Snow will use a short scene by Marilynne Robinson to jumpstart writers on their own work.
Other readers featured will be Veronica Patterson, Lisa Zimmerman, Jackie St. Joan, and Kathleen Willard. A reception and book signing will follow the reading.
Women Write the Rockies is a group of literary women writing in the shadow of the Rockies — a community of like-minded women sharing news, readings, publications, and reviews.
